We want to create an amazing play attraction in its own right but also provide a space that could enrich and enhance a childminder’s offer or be of support to a family carer providing a blended, alternative approach and solution to childcare provision.

By creating a diverse/supportive and quality environment for family carers, childminders, home schoolers and parents to use (no setting up or clearing up!) we believe this could offer a realistic, flexible and cost effective alternative to a traditional nursery place. Authentic ‘real’ resources and sustainability

The resources and environment in which the play takes place will be rooted in the use of ‘authentic’ real resources and based on the principles of sustainability (recycling, reusing and repurposing) underpinned by an environmentally conscious ethos.

Resources and spaces will be designed to be open-ended, unrestricted and gender neutral.

With meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to excellence, we want to create play opportunities that inspire, excite, and enrich curious minds.

FAQs

How much will it cost?

£12 for a 2 hour session. Up to two adults would be free with a fee-paying child. Booking options would be Pay As You Go with a loyalty card (get 6^th session free) or 3 differing packages of ‘Subscribe and Save’. Options of paying in full or by direct debit. These would unlock privileges such as exclusive discounts, early bird offers, free monthly parent Q and A coffee mtg on various EYFS themes. Discounts will be available for siblings attending the same session (2,3,4 chrn) and registered child-minders. Large group or exclusive private hire sessions would be quoted on an individual basis. Children parties would be available to book, Mon-Fri 4pm-6pm.

Can I get something to eat and drink?

A simple but wholesome and fresh refreshment and snack menu would be available, all made in house (coffee/tea/juices/smoothies (put in a lidded insulated cup), cake, biscuits, fish goujons, bread sticks, fruit etc– easy finger food) to be put in containers and a special ‘carry-around bag’.

Would it be the same activities every session ?

The core offer and resources would be always maintained. However certain activities, equipment and resources would be rotated or swapped on a weekly basis e.g. swapping splatter painting to printing or sensory cooked spaghetti to shaving foam. There will also be additional enrichment activities (available at a supplementary cost) scheduled often linked to seasonal events e.g make a Christmas decoration, Easter bonnet or cake making, Halloween party…

Do I have to supervise my child?

Yes. All children must be supervised by a grown up (18+). However this doesn’t have to be the parent. We are happy for grown ups to share ‘supervision’ if they deem it safe to do so, allowing one of the parents to do things like shop or even make use of a separate dedicated ‘work’ space with high speed internet.
